Frederiksberg rooftops
Frederiksberg is a densely populated municipality within the city of Copenhagen. Frederiksberg is known for the many parks, villa districts and many older buildings. During Strøm Festival I visited a synthesizer workshop on the ground level of this building. The organiser Ole Bjørn Binding invited to his rooftop overseeing the mesmerising Frederiksberg cityscape.
Rooftops of Helsinki
A view of a part of rooftops in the city centre of Helsinki, Finland. This is the view from the roof of Lasiplatsi, one of most notable functionalist buildings of the city. The backside of the signage lighting belongs to a restaurant in the constructed dwelling. Moreover, it shows a look towards one of the properties of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki, also the Stockmann department store and corner of the Forum shopping mall.

Aarhus Docklands
Coming from the sea to Aarhus reveals newly established district Aarhus Docklands (2007) which is located in the harbour area. The construction site started developing new residential buildings the very same year it was founded. One of the first buildings finalised is the ISBJERGET residential living complex (2013) designed and developed by four architectural firms, the Danish CEBRA and JDS Architects, French Louis Paillard and Dutch SeARCH. The building especially attracts attention as to its shape, form and colour, standing much out from any other residential building in the world.

Frøsilo
In 1965 Danish factory Sojakage (soja cake) constructed three silos near the harbourfront. In 1992 the factory closed down and then the silos were standing for years unused. Nowadays Frøsilo is private residential area rebuild on the base of twin silos designed and completed by Dutch architects MRVDV in 2005. The building stretches over 10.700 m2 and combines 84 apartments and parking close to the recreational waterfront.
Multiple commuting options
There are multiple commuting options available how the get smoothly through the district of Islands Brygge. Copenhagen's city ferries are one of the popular options, especially for tourists. Otherwise, Copenhagener's prefer the many bicycle bridges that can bring you fastest to any destination between the south and the central part of the city. The modern building known as Frøsilo in the background was designed by Dutch MVRDV architects office.
Summer in Islands Brygge
In the summertime, one of the most favourable places for Copenhagener's is the harbour waterfront district of residential area Islands Brygge. Popular between the Danish people is to go boating or simply swimming and sunbathing. This neighbourhood is much under redevelopment and known for modern architecture.
